Creole101 Launches Multilingual Dictionary App with 50,000+ Entries, Vocabulary Games and Haitian Cultural Resources

New Android app connects Haitian Creole, English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese through definitions, translations, pronunciation, vocabulary discovery and interactive learning tools.

Miami, FL, United States, 12th Oct 2026 — Creole101, a multilingual language and cultural resource platform based in Miami, Florida, has launched the Creole101 Dictionary app for Android, bringing more than 50,000 dictionary entries across five languages to mobile users. An iPhone and iPad version is coming soon.

Built around Haitian Creole, the app connects Haitian Creole, English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese in one searchable dictionary. Users can look up words in the language they already speak and explore definitions, translations, examples, pronunciation and related vocabulary.

The app is free to download on Android and can be explored at:

One Dictionary Across Five Languages

Creole101 is designed for more than one type of learner.

An English speaker can use it as an English–Haitian Creole dictionary. A Haitian Creole speaker can use the same app to explore English, French, Spanish or Portuguese vocabulary. French-, Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking users can likewise begin in their own language.

Instead of functioning only as a basic translator, Creole101 focuses on the meaning and context of words. Dictionary entries can include definitions, translations into the other supported languages, usage examples and pronunciation read aloud by the user’s device.

Users can also browse the Lexicon, view nearby entries and use the Explore section to discover vocabulary by theme.

Vocabulary Learning Through Games and Daily Discovery

Creole101 combines dictionary lookup with interactive vocabulary practice.

The app currently includes four learning activities: Hangman, Quick Match, Crossword and Word Builder. Users can build XP, maintain a daily streak and practice vocabulary in any of the five supported languages.

Word Builder also includes thematic vocabulary packs that allow learners to study groups of related words before testing themselves.

For users who prefer smaller daily learning goals, the app features a Word of the Day, presenting a new word and its meaning each day.

Words can be saved to Favorites, allowing users to build a personal vocabulary list and return to entries they want to review later.

English Proverbs, Irregular Verbs and Word Discovery

Creole101’s broader language platform includes additional resources for English learners, including a collection of more than 2,000 English proverbs and references for irregular English verbs.

The platform also offers word-exploration tools that can help users discover related vocabulary, including rhyming words useful for poetry, songwriting, creative writing and wordplay.

These resources extend the experience beyond direct dictionary lookup and give learners different ways to explore how words connect with one another.

Where Language Meets Haitian Culture

One of Creole101’s distinguishing features is its connection between dictionary entries and cultural resources.

Depending on the word being viewed, users may find links to Haitian proverbs, quotations, riddles, expressions, poems and song lyrics containing or relating to that word.

This allows a dictionary search to become a starting point for discovering how language appears in real cultural contexts.

For example, someone searching a Haitian Creole word can move from its definition and translation to examples, related vocabulary and cultural references available through the wider Creole101 platform.

Built for Students, Learners and Everyday Reference

Creole101 is intended for students, teachers, families, translators, language enthusiasts and people who simply want a convenient multilingual reference on their phone.

The interface is available in all five supported languages and includes light and dark themes, adjustable text size, search history and layouts designed for phones and tablets.

Users do not need an account to search the dictionary or play games.

The Android release represents the beginning of Creole101’s broader mobile rollout. The platform will continue to expand based on usage, corrections and feedback from its community.

The iPhone and iPad version is expected soon.
